Intermittent fasting or 5:2 is the same thing and it’s super simple.
You eat normally FIVE days a week and EAT NOTHING (or very little) for TWO (non consecutive) days a week. Hence the reason the diet is called intermittent fasting or the 5:2 diet.
Most people find eating a normal evening meal on the 5:2 diet followed by nothing or very little the following day until the following evening is easiest.
Purition is a great option to keep you going when FASTING, you could eat Purition twice on fasting days without derailing the effectiveness of fasting.
There is another way to fast and for many it’s EVEN EASIER it’s called 16:8 or time restricted eating.
You simply extend your natural overnight fast to 16 hours by delaying breakfast i.e. your first meal of the day to around 11am. The alternative to this is simply to eat three meals a day within 8 hours.
Hence why this method of fasting is called 16:8, it refers the 16 hours you are fasting and the 8 hour eating window.

There are loads of books on the subject of fasting and the BBC’s Dr. Michael Mosley is the diet's biggest fan. He has written several books on the subject, the most popular being THE FAST DIET and he even has his own program called FAST800, which claims weight loss and improved energy levels.
Intermittent fasting, the 5:2 diet, 16:8 time restricted eating
Either method of fasting 5:2 or 16:8 is a great way to lose weight, it extends the natural period of time your body is in ketosis (using body fat for energy) and reduces overall calorie intake over the week. This double whammy for weight-loss is a powerful tool that can be incorporated into most people's lifestyles.
There is no requirement to change your diet substantially. However, moving to a real whole food diet at the same time and reducing starchy carbohydrate intake in the evening (unless you have exercised) will undoubtedly accelerate results.
Using Purition daily or twice a day, two days a week to help you fast, will help you achieve a better overall diet, especially when you don’t have time to cook or are rushing out of the house in the morning.

Real food does not dissolve so using a blender is ideal. If you do need to use a shaker, just shake, leave to thicken for 5 minutes and shake again. It won't be as smooth as using a blender, but it will be just as delicious.
Blending with your favourite milk of choice, will make a delicious shake, but that's s just the start. Try adding berries, spinach, bananas, cinnamon or a drizzle of honey, have them warm on a cold day or you can even add the shakes to yoghurt for a snack.. the options are almost endless...

That depends, each 500g bag contains 10 x 50g servings or 12 x 40g servings, if using once a day, 5-6 times a week, that’s enough for two weeks. Many of our customers will add a half serving to non-sweetened full-fat Greek or natural yoghurt, porridge or even their regular green smoothies.
Reseal the bag after use and keep it in a cool, dark cupboard. You don’t need to keep it in the fridge. Decanting it into a sealed jar or container, and keeping it on the side next to your blender is handy for easy access if using it everyday!

Again that’s simple in two words REAL FOOD. Purition is not a meal replacement or supplement, it’s made with REAL FOOD - a meal in a glass. There is a BIG difference. Traditional “meal replacements” are made of sugar, artificial sweeteners, water, milk powder, thickeners, artificial flavourings and often chemically synthesised vitamins and minerals. They are industrial concoctions of highly refined ingredients that happen to contain very few calories precisely because they contain no real food.
Purition will never be a supplement, because it provides all the nutrition you need from real food ingredients (seeds & nuts) and is designed to only ever replace a meal, with a meal (albeit a perfectly balanced one!) We see Purition as the foundation of a healthy diet, not as a supplement to replace food but as a food to replace supplements.
Generally we say 4 scoops (40g) for women and 5 scoops (50g) for men. However ladies if 40g is not keeping you satisfied until your next meal use 50g.
To be honest we don’t think this is the best way to make or to enjoy your Purition shake. The natural ingredients contained in our blends work far better with milk or your favourite milk alternative.

We recommend preparing Purition in a blender. Real Food does not dissolve so we say blend it for best results. Blending will create a thick, smooth, creamy shake in seconds and is a great opportunity to throw in some berries or greens for even more nutrients.

Once blended consume immediately, your shake will continue to thicken. If left for a few hours it will become porridge like and you’ll need a spoon thanks to all the fibre.
Results are about consistently great nutrition, not some magic window before or after exercise. Great nutrition is about what get’s eaten in a 24 hour period. If you plan on using before exercise you’ll want to consume it at least 1-2 hours before exercise. If you’re going to consume it after exercise wait until you get back home or the office so you can prepare it properly and most importantly enjoy.
Providing your order is placed before 3pm Monday to Thursday, you will receive your order next day.
Our couriers will text you 1 hour before delivery to make sure you are in and can sign for the parcel. If not you can ask them to deliver it tomorrow, leave your parcel in a safe place, with a neighbour or drop it at one of their 1000’s of pickup points nationwide. You can’t get it delivered at a specific time (the world does not revolve around you), they can’t change the delivery address or deliver at the weekend without incurring significant extra cost. If you live in a flat we’d recommend you have your parcel delivered to work.
Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on the following Monday, any orders made over the weekend (Saturdays or Sundays) will be shipped out on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.
Any Discovery Box orders (placed Monday-Friday) will be shipped out same day by Royal Mail 1st Class, this normally takes up to 48 hours to be delivered.
Strawberries (freeze-dried). As well as being extremely high in vitamin C, strawberries also contain potassium, dietary fibre, antioxidants and taste amazing.
Sunflower Kernels. As well as being a great source of vitamin E, your body’s primary fat-soluble antioxidant, sunflower kernels are also particularly rich in magnesium and copper – both of which are essential for strong bones and joints.
Madagascan Vanilla Pods. With one of nature’s most intense and natural flavours, we always insist on using whole Madagascan vanilla pods to add a fresh and unique dimension to our wholefood pouches.
Almonds. Along with the highest fibre content of any nut, almonds are also packed with protective nutrients and rich in vitamin E – an effective antioxidant that’s beneficial for maintaining healthy hair, skin and nails.
Chia Seeds. Gram-for-gram, chia seeds have 8 x more Omega 3 than salmon, 4 x the antioxidants of blueberries, 7 x more vitamin C than oranges and 3 x more iron than spinach. Plus, as if that wasn’t enough, they’re also 20% protein, making them perfect for active living.
Cocoa. Along with essential nutrients like magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and vitamin C – cocoa not only tastes great, it also has a high concentration of antioxidants.
